Rooster recently introduced our HRIS to hire and manage your employees using one platform. Employee onboarding, managing people, and payroll are the newest features added to Rooster. In this article, we will take you through the Onboard section and how to onboard new employees to your company.
Before jumping onto the step-by-step guide, let’s look at this section.
You can navigate to the Onboard section Manage > Onboard
This is what your screen will look like.
Search for employees
You can manually search for employees using the search bar.
Filter by status
You can also filter for the employees using the ‘Status’ filter.
Now let’s look at how to onboard a new employee.
Step 01: Click on ‘+ Onboard new employee’.
Step 02: Add basic details
Once you have entered the required data, click ‘Save & continue’.
Step 03: Add compensation details
Add the details on how the salary calculations will be done.
Once you have entered the details, click ‘Add pay adjustment’ and then click ‘Save & continue’ to move to the next section.
Step 04: Add your employees’ leave allowances
Once you have created all the time-off policies at your organization, you assign them to the new employees here.
Step 05: Add documents
You can enter the documents the candidate needs to submit when they onboard in this section. You can enter any amount of documents.
Make sure to tick the ‘Required’ box if the documents are mandatory and untick it if the documents are optional.
Also, check the box ‘Allow multiple files’ if the candidate is allowed to submit more than one file and keep it unticked if allowed to submit only one document.
Step 06: Add approvers
Here you can add the final approver/s who would approve the candidate prior to getting onboarded. You can add only one or a few approvers based on your need.
Step 07: Send a welcome note
Once you have entered all the details, all you have to do is add a welcome note and onboard the new employee to your company.
