Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our finance team. The Fund Accountant will be responsible for managing and reporting on the financial performance of various funds, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping, valuations, and reporting. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records for funds, including bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements.
- Track and monitor portfolio performance, valuations, and daily/monthly fund positions.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports to investors, management, and auditors with precision.
- Calculate and reconcile Net Asset Values (NAVs) for funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Ensure all fund accounting activities comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial data and analysis.
- Analyze fund expenses, cash flow, and distributions to investors.
- Stay informed on market trends, tax regulations, and evolving accounting standards to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Fund Accountant or similar role in asset management or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certifications such as CIMA are a plus.
